In music, we offer private lessons in voice, piano (Suzuki and traditional), violin (Suzuki and traditional), cello, guitar, bass, mandolin, flute, saxophone, drums, banjo and songwriting. We emphasize classical technique while encouraging students to explore other genres of interest including commercial music, musical theatre and more. Group music classes include musical theatre, mini-musicians for preschoolers, homeschool choir, youth ensemble/orchestra, and Suzuki string classes.
Theatre at Concordia focuses on giving students the tools they need to be confident on any stage. Through classic dramatic literature, we teach a love for oral and dramatic interpretation and well-rounded performing skills. We offer classes or private lessons in auditioning, character and script analysis, oral and dramatic interpretation, comedy, Shakespeare, stagecraft, and behind-the-scenes technical work. Group classes are available in Minis Theatre, Musical Theatre (2 levels) and homeschool theatre.
In dance we teach the value of the art, in many forms of movement: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Pointe, Contemporary, Tumble, Aerial, Stretch/Contortion, and more. For young children we offer an expansive program tailored to their development by year including Ballet Minis, Ballet/Jazz combo, Dance/Tumble and Tap/Ballet combo classes. We encourage students to take private lessons and explore all forms of dance. We teach the importance of the dancer in theatre arts, solo and group performances as well as community arts with an emphasis placed on worthwhile subject matter.
The teachers at Concordia Arts Academy have been such a blessing to our family. Over the past several years they have helped Savannah come out of her shell and showcase her passion of singing in more ways than words can express. I am so excited about the new classes at Concordia Arts Academy and all the amazing things Kate Taylor Butler has planned for the future!
This dance studio is amazing! My daughter is 7 and can not wait each week to go to her dance class. Ms. Maddison is a fantastic teacher with all the patience in the world! Highly recommend this studio!!Lori Pena
Concordia truly has your child’s best interests at heart.Dennis John
Concordia according to my 12 year old daughter is her “family” away from her family. It’s a second home to her. A home is not just a building but it is created from the love within the walls. With this love also comes discipline and passion from her instructors that tests and challenge her to improve herself as a dancer as a lover of theatre and as a good person overall.Stacy Steinborn
